SALT LAKE CITY – The world’s leading professional organization for board certified plastic surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), elected Dr. Renato Saltz to serve as President in 2016 at its recent biennial congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He will assume this role at the 2016 congress in Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 1970, ISAPS’ membership consists of more than 2800 of the world’s best known and respected reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeons in 96 countries.

Serving in such a prestigious capacity will be familiar territory for Dr. Saltz who has long played an active role in the plastic surgery community. He is Past President of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons, Past Chair of the Education Council of ISAPS, and the only Honorary Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has also published more than 400 national and international papers, including 36 chapters and seven books.

“It is a tremendous honor to be named President-Elect of ISAPS as it is truly rewarding to be recognized by my peers in aesthetic surgery from around the world,” says Dr. Saltz. “I am dedicated to the organization’s mission to provide continuing education to member physicians and advancing the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. The exchange of ideas that occurs through ISAPS benefits my patients because it keeps me on the leading edge of medicine.”

As the founder of Saltz Plastic Surgery, which opened in 2002, Dr. Saltz is a reconstructive surgeon with an interest in cosmetic surgery. He was one of the first plastic surgeons in the United States to open a high-caliber medical spa, Spa Vitoria, in conjunction with his practice. Echo Spur to Feature Seven Luxurious, “Green” Homes in the Heart of Old Town

PARK CITY – While dramatic announcements came from the ski industry, including Vail Resorts’ purchase of Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort’s acquisition of Solitude Mountain Resort, construction began on the environmentally-friendly Echo Spur residential development in the town’s highly coveted Old Town neighborhood. One of the last remaining multi-lot developments in the historic district, Echo Spur invites owners to “take control of their environment” with the dual objective of minimizing external water and energy demands in a user-friendly and cost-effective manner.

Echo Spur’s plans consist of seven eco-friendly, “mountain modern” homes situated on sunny Rossie Hill along a private street. The developers are utilizing the latest solar, superinsulation and water management strategies to reduce the cost of homeownership and provide a superior living experience and environment.

“There have been dramatic changes in regards to the economics of home construction, but with the residential real estate market still emerging from the recession, these changes are not well understood by the buying public. Our goal with Echo Spur is to promote the fact that it makes practical and financial sense to own a sustainable home that reduces the monthly costs of homeownership by 70 to 90 percent” explains developer Sean Kelleher, a Park City resident. “This is a groundbreaking project for Park City that complements the municipal government’s mission for the community to become increasingly sustainable. We hope Echo Spur sets an example for future development.”

Echo Spur is within easy walking distance of Historic Main Street’s shops, galleries and restaurants, as well as the Transit Center. The development has expansive views of Old Town, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley. Homes will range in size from 2,700 to 3,500 square feet with versatile layout options that include three to four bedrooms, state-of-the art gourmet kitchens and outdoor entertaining areas with hot tubs and gas fireplaces. “Green” rooftop decks can be used as gardens or patios. Eco-friendly features include super insulation, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and smart phone- and iPad-controlled lighting, temperature and security.

“The development of Echo Spur coincides with a new dynamic in Park City,” says Kelleher. “With Vail Resorts now a major player in Park City, and their plans to create the largest ski resort in the United States by connecting Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons, we’re likely to see a steady increase in tourism and therefore real estate demand. Deer Valley has also purchased Solitude, and is actively working on a plan to run a gondola from Deer Valley Resort to a location in Old Town that’s literally steps from Echo Spur. Longer term, there’s talk of linking all seven Wasatch resorts and developing better transportation options from Salt Lake to the resorts. Park City’s economic health will be supported by these developments.”

Echo Spur homes are offered by Berkhshire Hathaway HomeServices Utah Properties and range from $2.7 to $3.5 million with a five percent discount offered to the first homebuyer. For more info, visit

Park City Extreme Cup Youth Soccer Tournament

Park City, Utah is no stranger to high-level sporting events, and this weekend (July 31 to August 2) will see the Park City Extreme Cup in action for the 11th year. Redhead Marketing & PR had the opportunity to publicize the youth soccer tournament with local media outlets. With just one week’s notice, we secured the tournament director three interviews on local radio station KPCW, coverage in The Park Record newspaper, and an interview on the Park City Television morning show.

The Park City Soccer Club will host the Extreme Cup, bringing 436 youth soccer teams from five states to Summit County for a three-day competition. With 59 squads requiring overnight lodging, tournament director Shelley Gillwald expects that the tournament’s economic impact will surpass the estimated $3.5 million it brought to Park City two years ago when it fielded fewer than 250 teams.

Knitting and Campaigning

What do a high-end yarn boutique and a political campaign have in common? Very little, except that they are two of Redhead Marketing & PR’s newest clients. We are pleased to be handling the marketing for Wasatch & Wool, opening late summer at Redstone in Park City and David Brickey, the Republican candidate running for reelection as Summit County Attorney in November.

Brickey, as he is amicably known amongst his peers and colleagues, has served as Summit County Utah Attorney for 10 years. A moderate Republican, he was first appointed to this office by a mostly Democratic County Council. Redhead will be working to conceive a campaign brand in addition to developing the website and other campaign collateral. We will also manage grassroots marketing efforts throughout the county to elevate awareness, raise funds and get out the vote. David Brickey is the fifth political candidate to engage Redhead Marketing & PR since the company was founded in 2010. Our other political highlights include managing the successful campaigns and marketing efforts for Park City Mayor Dana Williams in 2009 and his successor, Jack Thomas in 2013. We love the energy and intensity of working on political campaigns!

Wasatch & Wool will occupy the space that once housed the CJ Sport boutique at the Redstone shopping center at Park City’s Kimball Junction. The yarn boutique will offer an intimate, welcoming retail experience with high-quality, natural yarns at a variety of price points. With the recent resurgence of knitting as a hobby for all ages, the owner seeks to foster a local knitting community with workshops and social gatherings for knitters. Park City’s only yarn store, Wasatch & Wool is sure to appeal to both locals and visitors with a passion for knitting and creating special knitted products with yarns of superior quality. Redhead Marketing & PR is beginning work on branding, logo development and website design. We will manage additional public relations and marketing collateral needs as well.
