OKLAHOMA’S NEWEST TOWN, CARLTON LANDING, CELEBRATES THE SEASON ON DECEMBER 10

CARLTON LANDING, OKLA – The picturesque, lakeside community of Carlton Landing will spread holiday cheer on Saturday, December 10 with a double dose of family-friendly events. The day will kick off Carlton Landing Academy’s first-ever Jingle Bell Run, which is slated to become an annual tradition. The two-part event consists of a fun run at 8:30 a.m. with a 5K to follow at 9:00 a.m. Tulsa-based Tatur Racing will be handling the timing of the 5k and expects to draw runners from across the state. The afternoon features Carlton Landing’s Annual Christmas Home Tour, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free, but donations to Carlton Landing Academy will be gratefully accepted. Visitors may pick up tour maps at the Meeting House (20 Boulevard) and visit several of the town’s charming homes that will be exquisitely decorated to celebrate the season. All attendees will be entered to win a $300 Yeti Cooler. Holiday activities will be offered to make for a fun afternoon for all family members.

“The Christmas Home Tour has grown in popularity over the past couple of years, and we thought adding a Jingle Bell run would not only add to the festivities but also promote fitness during the holidays,” says Jen Humphreys, Town Founder of Carlton Landing and Race Organizer. Over the past weeks, Jen has led students from Carlton Landing Academy in training for the big race. The school is looking for high levels of student participation.

“This promises to be a wonderful way for families to kick off the holidays, and it offers a rare opportunity for the public to get an inside look at some of our private residences,” says Steve Winner, Carlton Landing’s Director of Sales. “Christmas is a special time in Carlton Landing. We look forward to seeing everyone come out, drink a hot cocoa and see some beautiful homes.”

Both the Jingle Bell Run and Christmas Home Tour are open to the public.

ABOUT CARLTON LANDING
Carlton Landing is Oklahoma’s newest town. Grant and Jen Humphreys, the lakeside community’s first residents, founded the community in 2011. The town occupies one of Lake Eufaula’s most picturesque areas, with sandy beaches, towering cliffs, beautiful woodlands and some of the lake’s finest water quality. Famed planner and architect Andreas Duany, known for designing the Rosemary Beach and Seaside communities on the Florida panhandle, crafted the Carlton Landing master plan with Humphreys in 2008. Inspired by the New Urbanism movement—which holds that life, work and play are all central to a community’s vitality—Carlton Landing is the first development of its kind to become a distinct municipality. The master plan includes schools, a waterfront chapel, Nature Center, community parks, trails, and a town center with restaurants and shops. Plans call for more than 3,000 homes, a private residence club and a generational development timeline. For more information, visit www.carltonlanding.com.

Public and Residents Invited to Enjoy Spring Season Festivities

CARLTON LANDING, Okla. – Oklahoma’s newest town and premier lakeside resort once again is living up to its reputation as an emerging hub for lake recreation and holiday fun by hosting a grand Arbor Day celebration – The First Annual Blues & Greens Festival. Scheduled for the weekend of March 18th through 20th at Carlton Landing, the Blues & Greens Festival will include tree planting, culinary events, live blues music from the Selby Miner Band, and arts & crafts activities for children. All events are open to the public.

“From the beginning, our vision for Carlton Landing was to create a welcoming community that fosters wellness, nature and a life-giving culture,” explains Town Founder Grant Humphreys. “The Blues & Greens Festival is another great way to bring together neighbors, families and guests to celebrate the coming of spring as we look forward to another great lake season at Carlton Landing.”

The morning will begin with a spring cleaning of the Community Garden in Carlton Landing. Neighbors have adopted raised beds for planting flowers, herbs and vegetables. Students from Carlton Landing Academy, a new public charter school, will use the Community Garden for their Edible Schoolyard curriculum.  The Tree Planting Ceremony will take place in the new Carlton Landing Nature Center, a 50-acre lakefront wooded area which is made possible through a long-term ground lease with the Corps of Engineers and a partnership between the Carlton Landing Community Foundation and The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma.

“We’re excited to partner with The Nature Conservancy to create a great place that reconnects kids with nature and provides trails for peaceful walks in the woods,”says Humphreys.

Happy 6th Birthday to Redhead Marketing & PR

Happy birthday to us – today marks Redhead Marketing & PR’s 6th anniversary!

We have so much to celebrate and be hugely grateful for – Our business doubled in the past year, and we are fortunate to work with some amazing clients in different parts of the U.S. who we get to call our friends and biggest champions. Redhead’s growth has been especially rewarding because it has been completely organic and by word of mouth. We appreciate all the support and love what we do!

During the past several years, we have enjoyed providing a variety of marketing services to and partnering with diverse range of industries, including hospitality and travel, technology, luxury real estate, finance, commercial real estate, legal, professional associations and more. We have learned about so many types of businesses and their target audiences that we enjoy crafting customized, thoughtful messaging for. It has been exciting to help businesses grow by consulting with them on their social media, public relations, email marketing, website development, branding, printed collateral and event planning. Our talent has evolved and matured as well.

We can’t wait to see what the next six years bring!

A Year of Unprecedented Growth

Every business should start a New Year with a goal – or resolution. As we approached 2015, we set out to not only continue to grow Redhead Marketing & PR’s client roster, but to expand it geographically. In this virtual world, it seemed reasonable to expand our reach into new markets, having already dabbled in a few. Why not offer our affordable rates and team-oriented approach to more small- to medium-sized businesses elsewhere? It certainly would make professional life more interesting.

We are pleased to report that thanks to amazing word-of-mouth referrals and more awareness of our business model and happy clients, our 2015 New Year’s Resolution came to fruition – even more than we could have imagined. Two-thirds of Redhead’s business now comes from outside the area with clients in Florida, Oklahoma, Jackson Hole and the Bay Area. These clients are in a variety of industries – finance, healthcare technology, real estate, and resorts and hospitality. They have engaged us for a wealth of services, including public relations, social media management, branding, web development, and collateral design. Providing a variety of marketing and communications services allows our clients to have consistent messaging and branding. It also enables us to become more than a marketing and PR firm; we still play a role as a member of our clients’ teams, even as we grow.

2015 was also a record-breaking year – Redhead Marketing & PR’s business has doubled!

While we love our Park City home base and clients, it has been a fun challenge to grow beyond the borders! Thanks to everyone (colleagues, friends and clients) who has helped us expand; we in turn take great satisfaction in seeing our partners prosper…cheers to you all, and best wishes for a happy and bright 2016!

Breaking Ground in Oklahoma

Our client roster has expanded to Oklahoma as we have recently signed on to do public relations for Carlton Landing, a lakeside resort and town on Lake Eufaula with huge plans in the works. The sustainable community was designed according to the principles of New Urbanism where a healthy lifestyle that incorporates the natural environment is promoted. Carlton Landing’s plans call for 3,000 homesites, a hotel, restaurants and shops. There is a lovely marina, Boat House and organic farm that are enjoyed by full-time residents and second homeowners alike. And there is even a school, which has earned high accolades.

Our first press release for Carlton Landing announces the residence club, which has already had more than 20 sales. The ground breaking is October 17.
