Take some comfort in the fact that this economic downturn was precipitated by a public health crisis, not a deregulated housing crisis run amok as we experienced in 2008. Most analysts agree that when the pandemic subsides, pent up demand for services, goods, and travel will be released. This could be as soon as the 3rd quarter of this year, depending on the extent to which the virus is contained, the promise of a vaccine, the availability of treatment drugs, and effectiveness of the stimulus package.
