We love to see our non-profit clients engaging in creative, grassroots fundraising efforts as opposed to relying solely on big-ticket fundraisers. Sage Mountain Animal Rescue, a new 501(c3) non-profit dedicated to the advocacy of farm animals, will present a one-time screening of the groundbreaking, provocative documentary “Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret.” It’s also a great way to raise awareness of the non-profit’s animal rescue and rehabilitation facility under development in Brown’s Canyon and its mission which the film complements. The feature-length documentary, which explores the most destructive industry facing the planet today, will screen at the Prospector Theater in Park City on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased online at http://www.tugg.com/events/11089.
Known as the film that even environmental organizations don’t want the public to see, filmmakers Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn examine the leading contributor to global warming, water depletion, wildlife extinction and deforestation and why such champions of the environment won’t address it.
Five percent of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Sage Mountain Animal Rescue. Prospector Theater is located at 2175 Sidewinder Drive, Park City. An informal gathering will be held at The Boneyard Saloon, 1251 Kearns Blvd, immediately following the screening with a cash bar offered.
Redhead is pleased to have helped Sage Mountain Animal Rescue by publicizing the film’s screening. In addition to some radio interviews and online coverage, there was a great article in this weekend’s Park Record newspaper.
