SALT LAKE CITY’S JULY 4TH CELEBRATION RETURNS TO THE GATEWAY FOLLOWING A PANDEMIC HIATUS
The Gateway and Broadway Media present a free community event with live entertainment, food, and fireworks show
Salt Lake City’s highly anticipated July 4th celebration returns to The Gateway this year to offer a patriotic, community gathering. The free, family-friendly event kicks off at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 4 with entertainment, food and fun. It all culminates with a large firework show, starting at dusk (approximately 10 p.m.).
The Olympic Legacy Plaza will be the hub of the festivities with two stages. The main stage will feature band, Changing Lanes, DJs, and a Karaoke stage on 100 South. Yard games, face painting, and contests will take place throughout the day. The Gateway’s bars and restaurants will serve up American classics, in addition to food trucks on site in the Plaza. Local craft beer from Bohemians will also be available for purchase during the event.
“There is so much to celebrate this year, including our resilience as a community,” says The Gateway’s Marketing Director, Jacklyn Briggs. “We are excited to continue this new tradition that began in 2019 as Salt Lake City’s official Independence Day celebration and firework show. Given the wildfire concerns this year, we are providing a safe opportunity for the community to enjoy a professionally produced show with us at no cost to attend.”
Additional July 4th offerings include $4 off entry to Dreamscapes Museum for those dressed in red, white and blue, and $1 GREENbike rides from July 3 to 7 with the kiosk code 7419. Pedal to the fireworks for just a buck!
